After his bending was taken away, he lost everything. All of the adoring fans that he had amassed over the years turned their backs on him almost immediately. It was all very subtle at first – the girls who used to practically fight each other for a chance to on his arm now gave him quivering smiles and lied through the teeth about why they didn’t want to be seen with the man who had once been a champion pro-bender.
